Stand firm in faith

In a world full of shifting opinions and changing values, it’s easy to feel unsteady. Confusion and fear creep in sometimes, especially when we hear conflicting voices about what’s true or what the future holds. The Thessalonian believers faced similar challenges. False teachings had unsettled them, and Paul lovingly reminded them to stand firm and hold fast to the truth they had received.
God’s word doesn’t change. God’s love, promises and calling remain steady through every season of life. When the world feels uncertain, we anchor our hearts in the unchanging truth of Christ. We don’t stand firm by our own strength, but by God’s grace and the encouragement God gives through the Spirit and the Word.
Even today, God is reminding us: stay rooted. Remember what you’ve learned. Hold on to what is good. God has chosen you, called you, and will strengthen you for every good word and deed.

Dear Lord, we give thanks for your unchanging truth. When life feels uncertain, help us to stand firm in your word and hold fast to the hope we have in Christ. Amen.
