Joyful noise

Today I woke up to the joyful noise of local robins and a wren. I went out to the patio with my morning coffee and heard the hum of bees busy in the zinnias in my patio planter, and heard the frantic hum of a hummingbird as it fed from my feeder. A slight, cool northwest breeze sighed through the tall, neighbouring linden tree. I think how good it is to be alive and am thankful for these joyful noises in my immediate location.
I cannot imagine worshipping God without singing God’s praises. It seems that creation this morning in this location cannot imagine it either. “For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (verse 5)

Lord, may each of us find time daily to make a joyful noise unto you. Amen.
