We have seen

The stone is rolled, the tomb is empty. After all the questions of the past week, we’re left with a most definitive answer: I have seen the Lord!
Nothing about it makes sense and yet, God’s “crazy” plan has unfolded. Jesus is alive! Now, not only does Jesus have new life, but so do we.
We can read the words, “Fear not!” and know they’re meant for us. Even death won’t beat us. We can set the burden of wondering about our worth and our value aside; Easter shows us nothing can separate us from God’s love. We have seen the Lord!
In the eyes of the people we meet; in the face staring at us from the mirror; in the experiences of the journey; in the Meal that will be offered to us today: We have seen the Lord!
In the sunrise that greets our days; in the blanket of darkness that ends each day; in the song of bird, the feel of rain, the smell of the earth awakening: We have seen the Lord!
In the hand outstretched, in the cup needing to be filled; in the tears still flowing: We have seen the Lord!

Open our eyes, Lord. We want to see you everywhere. Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Amen and alleluia!
