I can do it!

In our reading today from Matthew, we find that the disciples, even though they were given the ability, they could not cure the boy. So the father brought him to Jesus, and he cured the boy. Jesus appears to be annoyed with his disciples and blames their lack of faith for not being able to cure the boy.
Have there been times in your life where you just did not have the confidence to complete something or help someone? There have been times for me in which I felt I couldn’t do something or was not willing to do it. I quickly realized that I could do that something if I just applied myself and turned to God to give me the confidence I needed, for God does give us the ability so long as we have faith.

Merciful God, we thank you for being there when we feel we lack the confidence to help others or complete our tasks in service to you. Amen.
