Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. (verse 26)
As we near Pentecost, we again hear about the Spirit. And we also hear about the labour of childbirth. Life is a struggle, but the Spirit is here to help. We are not alone in our struggles. We look patiently in hope for the redemption that is to come. We wait with the Spirit who intercedes for us.
Holy Spirit, let us feel your presence as you help us pray, even when we do not have the words ourselves. Give us the patience to endure the pains of daily life and point us toward the hope of our salvation. Amen. —
