Heaven bound

Joseph was a faithful man who loved God. Even when Joseph was thrown in the dungeon, his faith never wavered. When Pharaoh called for him to interpret his dream, Joseph made it clear that God would give Pharaoh a favourable answer, not him. Joseph glorified God and his greatness.

A year ago, my father-in-law passed away. We were devastated. My children spent a lot of time with Grandpa. He was a daily fixture at our farm.

On the day my father-in-law passed away, we spent the day with him. Finally, we left to do chores, and then my husband and eldest son returned to the hospital. Eventually, my son called me to come home. No sooner had we walked in the door when the phone rang. It was my husband. Grandpa had passed away.

My eldest son was very upset. I didn’t know what to say. Finally, the words came to me. I said Grandpa knew he could go to heaven because he knew his grandson was back at the farm looking after it for him. My son stopped crying and went to sleep.

I couldn’t believe I had found the words to comfort my son. But it wasn’t me. God had given me the words to say.
