This is a good reminder for us that we should take everything to the Lord in prayer.
Not too long ago, I discovered that someone had slandered me and I did not know what to do. I went to see my lawyer, a devout Christian, and listened to him tell me that yes I had been slandered, but to realize that it would cost more to take the slanderer to court than I would ever get from the person who slandered me. He went on, because he knew me, to tell me I should go home and talk to God about this issue.
Prayer three or four times a day for two weeks finally yielded the response from God. I was to carry on with my life as if this had not happened and try to forget the whole issue. This was very hard to do, but it was God answering my prayer so I had to obey.
Gracious and loving God, please be with people who are in need of your response. Please assist them to do as you want and help them to talk to you in time of need. Remind them that their name is written in heaven. Amen. — EEMS
