Friday November 23rd, 2018 Psalm 132
"This is my resting place forever; here I will reside, for I have desired it. I will abundantly bless its provisions; I will satisfy its poor with bread. Its priests I will clothe with salvation, and its faithful will shout for joy. (verses 14-16)
I enjoy strength training and weightlifting. It keeps me healthy, strong, motivated and sore. I have most of the equipment that I require in my basement. This is where I can be found most days around 4 p.m. My children know this. They know that I can be found there when they need a snack or a bandage or just to tell me their sibling started it. It doesn’t matter how much weight I’m lifting, they’ll interrupt whenever they want: “Daddy! Daddy!”
Generous God, may we not be frugal in our love, but rather serve you with abundant hearts and hands, so that all may be fed with your bread, your justice and your love. Amen. — PG
