Saturday November 17th, 2018 Hebrews 10:11-25
"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds?" (verse 16)
To know the love and forgiveness of God, there is nothing more you need to do. There are no barriers to experiencing this love for ourselves. Everything that needed to happen has already come to pass. What an incredible gift that knowledge is.
Still sometimes, with our human tendencies towards doubt, I think we need the reminder.
The writer of Hebrews reminds us that we have confidence to enter God’s holy places, forgiven, redeemed, renewed. We are fresh and ready for the work that is to come. Not only that, but God has already written God’s law in our hearts and minds; we are the right people for this job, inside and out.
May you find a good deed to do today and in so doing, may the suffering of the world be less and the kingdom of God be more.
God whose word is known in our deepest places, spur us on to loving acts of good in your name. Amen. — AB
