Wednesday July 11th, 2018 Ezekiel 2:8-3:11
?do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you. (verse 2:8)
Jesus was a whistle-blower and like whistle-blowers today he was marginalized, harassed and threatened with harm. Whistle-blowers see evil in our world, for instance child abuse, sexual harassment, racial intolerance, extreme poverty and human trafficking, and shine a light on it. However, when newspapers, news channels and social media illustrate the shortcomings in our society, the perceived darkness may become overwhelming for us.
Lord, give us the faith to eat what you set before us. Amen. — EP
