Exciting Times

Then we-there is no they-find God when the stranger asks for something to eat. Suddenly, Christ the resurrected is discovered in the midst of a people in turmoil and pain. Now and then Christ is where God always is, in the midst of a hurting people, supporting them and breaking bread together. The transcending God transcends time and place. God is in the midst of our confusion, asking for a bite to eat, urging us to be still, savour the fish and know that we are not alone.

God, you call the church into being for the age in which it exists. Help us celebrate the changes we are experiencing that we might still proclaim the good news. Amen. — RDL
