Monday April 2nd, 2018 Luke 24:13-49
"But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel." (verse 21)
To hear that Jesus emptied himself and took the form of a slave is very humbling. What a model for life. To step out and step away from that which we think shapes our destiny and embodies who we really are can be an uphill task. Jesus became one of us to be with us and to die for us. He showed us selflessness by service and his ultimate sacrifice.
Loving God, in times of uncertainty reveal your presence to me so that I may be reassured of your immense love and mercy. Amen. — LGR
