Tuesday December 19th, 2017 Mark 9:9-13
As they were coming down the mountain, he ordered them to tell no one about what they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead. (verse 9)
We went up the mountain with Jesus and I thought we would finally understand everything and instead he turned into a blaze of white and Moses and Elijah were with him and it was terrifying-too bright, like the sun come to earth-and I thought this was the end because no one can see God and live.
And a voice from heaven told us to listen to him but all he would talk about is that he was going to be killed and rise from the dead which makes no sense and we’re not allowed to tell anyone.
But we’re going to stay with him because I think we saw God and we’re still alive and even though he keeps talking about dying he keeps giving people new life.
And maybe he will die and maybe he will rise again and then we will be able to tell everyone what we saw and what we heard: God.
