Mind Power!

No, we cannot avoid all the negatives of life. And we Christians need to be aware of the rampant evil in our world. But we can often make deliberate choices of what to feed into our own minds.

My college psychology professor said our human mind never forgets anything we have ever heard or seen. Even when we can’t remember it, whatever has entered our minds influences our attitudes and expressions.

St. Paul is wise to encourage us “to set the mind” on what is good and wholesome. When we decide to set our minds on the Spirit, we are promised God’s very best.

Gracious God, give me the will to decide to feed my mind with what is good. Thank you for the fullness of life and peace of heart your Spirit promises. Amen. — AAG
