One of my favourite praise songs comes from today’s reading in Job. These words may not be engraved on a rock, but they have been passed down through thousands of generations, praising God with each reading.
We may never have our statements of faith recorded for all time, but that shouldn’t stop us from making them. You never know, maybe someday our lives-trials and blessings-may be recorded for future generations to look to for inspiration like Job’s were.
So keep singing God’s praises, because God in Christ Jesus is faithful and good and alive and deserves our praise. God is always there with us in the good times and in the bad. God’s grace never ends.
Loving God, thank you for sending our redeemer Jesus to the earth. We look forward to his return at the end of all things. Send your Holy Spirit to help us to always keep him as the centre of our lives and constantly sing his praises, even when the going gets tough. Amen. — RK
