God Can Always Be Counted On

Note: It is not “if” they bring you to trial, it is “when.” Trials, troubles, pain, tragedies, persecutions do come to all of us at some or at several points in our lives. They are inevitable. The question is: How are we going to handle them?

God dwells within us and so is within us at all times. The Bible tells us this and I believe it. Worrying about what other people think, or how we look, or what we might say or do to defend and protect ourselves is such a colossal waste of time, when all we need to do is sink into God’s presence and God’s Word, to rest there and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to and through us. God can always be counted on to have the right words, the right actions, right there for us to use in God’s name at the right time. Abundant blessings even in the worst of times!

God of steadfast love, speak to our bodies, our hearts, our minds and our spirits that we would have the will, the strength and the courage to endure to eternal life with you. Amen. — SB
