Who has not felt awe and wonder by looking up into the night sky? The immensity of it all! God created all of this, and here we are but a small speck in the scope of things. Yet, to think God loves us as dearly as if we are the largest piece of the universe and is just aching for us to reach out.
Based on the reading, try this prayer as you prepare to ascend your day (hill):- stand or sit with feet firmly connected to the earth God created- place hands in prayer, ask God to clear your mind and make your heart pure- with an inhale, lift your face, arms and palms up towards God, saying, “Hello, here I am Lord,” and receive into your hands blessings from the Lord- gently place your open palms over your heart. Thank God for this gift.- smile as you say “Amen.”
Try this prayer under the evening stars, when you need a boost or want to celebrate. For me, even just lifting my hands up and saying yes, enacts this prayer in a small way.
O Lord, king of glory, help us lift up our heads and gates to you so that you, Lord, may come into our hearts. Amen. — BLR
