At All Times, In All Places

Psalm 62 is truly a comforting psalm. It is also one that provides a lesson in reminding us, through modern translation, not to put trust in human ingenuity, nor in crime or in riches, but to put our trust in the One who is our refuge-God.

The psalm was written by David, a man of God. David knew he could turn to God at all times and in all situations. This is evident through his writing.

I know I can turn to God anytime, too. How comforting! And we can pour out our hearts to God. How? By turning to God in prayer.

While driving around Sherwood Park on my way to shop for groceries one day, my eye caught a sign at one of the local churches. It read: Why worry when you can pray? How powerful those six words and that question mark are.

By praying, Christians experience hope.

Dear God, let us continue to come to you in prayer and trust in your word. Amen. — DD
