Monday December 8th, 2014 Isaiah 26:7-15
O LORD, you will ordain peace for us, for indeed, all that we have done, you have done for us. (verse 12)
I work in an agency that provides services for adults with disabilities. The individuals who come to work every day amaze me. They have an unfailing trust and take everything in stride. They are content and happy, doing whatever it is that they are able to do. When things go wrong, they are able to forget, forgive and move on. I think that is the peace that God offers us.
We will never find a place where there will be no trouble, but we can choose how we will deal with it. God offers us peace so we can face our adversity with a heart free from trouble and a mind free from fear. Never let the struggles that you are going through keep you from the blessings that God has for you. Choose to face each new day and all that it brings with God’s peace.
God of Peace, let me learn to trust you, so your peace can be with me in all that I do. Amen. — BZ
