Thanks Be To God

Whenever I do something for my grandchildren, they almost always say thank you, not once but two or three times. If they don’t, their mother is quick to remind them. I always feel appreciated.

It is easy for us to become prideful of our own abilities. We are not satisfied with what we have and strive for more. Instead of being thankful for what we have, we think that we deserve it.

We, like children, need to be reminded to say thank you. We need to remember that everything we have and are comes from God, not because we deserve it, but because God wants us to have it. Saying thank you is a small token of appreciation for all we have been given.

Generous God, today I just need to say thanks to you, for all that you give me and all that you do. Amen. — BZ
