Thursday October 19th, 2017 Exodus 33:12-23
Moses said to the LORD, "?if I have found favor in your sight, show me your ways?" The LORD said to Moses, "I will do the very thing that you have asked; for you have found favor in my sight?" (verses 12, 13, 17)
Jesus says, “I am the bread of life.” How much more fragrant, intoxicating and life-giving Jesus promises to be for us. In worship we pause, and we get more than just a whiff of this life-giving bread. Jesus is broken, remembered and lived out. Our bellies are filled, and we are sent out. Lord, may we extend the Bread of Life to others.
O God of love and peace, empower our voices to be vulnerable. Open our stubborn hearts to listen to those who struggle to have a voice for themselves. Fill us with your Spirit to discern when to concede and when to insist. Amen. — MP
